Long’s Park Ampitheater Foundation has been providing FREE Summer Concerts for nearly 60 years. After a pause during the pandemic in 2020, this year’s reinstated line up of Summer concerts was a highlight for so many in and around Lancaster County. The Series this year featured 8 concerts with the finale being a Live Aid Tribute harkening back to the 1985 benefit concert that raised millions of dollars for Ethiopia.
The final concert on August 29, 2021 was a night to remember. The park was packed as people came to listen to the tribute show featuring many treasured songs from various decades. The Foundation’s Live Aid concert gathered support for Lancaster County Food Hub which provides food and clothing for the food insecure in Lancaster, PA.
Prior to the concert, the foundation asked all intersted in attending to bring nonparishable food items for donation and the Food Hub. Over the course of the night, the Food Hub collected 1,500 lbs of food!
Kalas Foundation had the honor of supporting this concert and is grateful for the impact both Long’s Park Ampitheater Foundation and Lancaster County Food Hub are making on so many lives within our community.
