The past year has not been an easy one for many individuals and businesses, including non-profits and community organizations. Yet also during the challenges navigating the pandemic, the services, and support of charitable agencies were needed more than ever by the individuals and families depending on their care.
The Kalas Foundation was proud to offer financial support throughout all of 2020 and is equally grateful to continue to share disbursements in 2021. So far this calendar year, we have given to the following;
- Four Diamonds Fund – children’s cancer
- MDA – Ride for Life event – funding towards those with Muscular Dystrophy
- Long’s Park Amphitheater- summer music series
- Jewish Family Services – summer camp for kids (associate sponsored)
- Lancaster Science Factory – STEM program
- East Cocalico Lions Club – annual programs for community
- YMCA Reading & Berks – programs for community
- Fulton Theatre – youth programs & annual series
We do not take this opportunity for granted. Our ability to help those who truly improve the lives of so many in our community is something we are grateful for. Thank you to each and every person involved with the organizations who have reached out for our support. It is your work in our communities that has sustained and carried us through what otherwise was a tough year.
