Our mission as a foundation is to improve the lives we touch. Anytime we see a Kalas associate living out our mission we like to celebrate!
Kalas Associate Glenn Martin who works in our Denver, PA plants in packaging, inventory and as a forklift driver is someone to celebrate. This month he held a sale not to earn money for himself, but to earn money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association – an organization near and dear to his heart. He has spent years participating in the MDA Ride for Life which is their biggest fundraiser in the area, but this was something extra he did purely from the desire in his heart to improve the lives he touches. He even goes out of his way to welcome new Kalas associates and help out wherever needed. Regarding his involvement with the MDA Ride for Life Glenn says
“This is our 24th year for supporting MDA Ride for Life. My favorite part is volunteering one day at MDA summer camp giving side car rides. To the kids & staff. To see the smile’s on there faces makes me smile. I use to take one of the kids in the Memorial day parade but he’s all grown up now.”
