This past quarter the Kalas Foundation had the privilege of giving back to five impactful organizations doing great work within our communities and beyond. This was a special quarter for the Kalas Foundation. Our parent company, Kalas Manufacturing, reached their 60th anniversary. In doing so, they threw a large party and got to give our disbursement in person to the Denver Borough in direct support of the cost of new park benches included in their Access for All Project. Kalas selected this project and borough to support because their manufacturing facilities as well as today’s corporate offices all have their birthplace in Denver. You can read more about that special day at KalasWire.com as well as visit the Denver Borough website to learn more about their involvement in the community.

Another organization we got to support were the projects the Gases and Welding Distribution Association (GAWDA) Gives Back were supporting this year. Kalas is a member of GAWDA and in support of their hand in the community. This year our donation helped to fund Mary’s Place Mission in their expanding facitilies which house, nourish and empower women and children who find themselves homeless as well as Ronald McDonald House Seattle‘s purchase of an industrial dishwasher to keep their facilities safe for the children and families residing in their facilities while they are receiving treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Kalas Foundation B strong DonationB Strong Fight On Foundation’s Legacy Scholarships Golf Tournament and Jan’s Daisy Dash 5K Run/Walk supporting Jan’s Circle of Friends were two fundraisers for local non-profits we got to support. B Strong Fight On was started when one boy battled and beat cancer. Since then, they hold yearly fundraisers to support other local families facing similar situations in need of support for cancer treatment. This year’s golf tournament went toward 2 scholarships for high school seniors pursuing the medical field. Jan’s Circle of Friends assists children of domestic violence and parental loss.

The last organization we would like to highlight being able to support is Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center who provides family-centered education and therapy programs for infants, children and adolescents with disabilities, developmental delays and acquired injuries.

Each and everyone of these organizations does incredible work that is pivotal in the health, well-being and safety of our communities and those we touch. Thank you to each and every organization we get to support for all that you do, those listed here and others!
