thankgiving-day-2013Kalas Sylvin Foundation is committed to improving the lives of those in and around the communities in which we live.  That is why events like the FREE Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner hosted in Ephrata come close to the heart of our organization.

2014 marks the 15th annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner.  Each year a collection of local churches and businesses in and around Ephrata come together to provide a holiday meal to those who cannot provide their own. They serve a large traditional Thanksgiving meal and dessert as well as personally deliver meals to those in need that cannot come out.  This meal is a shear gift to the community, no collections are taken and individuals from all walks of life and poverty are welcomed.

Last year the meal was prepared and served by over 70 volunteers and fed 1,488 people! This year the lead volunteers expect the same high volume in attendance and participation. Whether it’s the food or the true connection and conversation that draws people out, this meal continues to be a gracious benefit to the community.

This year’s meal will be held on Thanksgiving day, November 27, 2014, from 11am-3pm at the Ephrata Business Center located at 400 W. Main Street, Ephrata. The event is handicap accessible and transportation or delivered meals can be provided as needed. No reservations are necessary.
