The Kalas Foundation was grateful to continue its support to the Long’s Park Summer Music Series this year. Each Sunday, the Long’s Park Foundation offers live music and entertainment to anyone who wishes to attend, at no charge. The beautiful park located just off of Route 30, has easy accessibility from nearly every direction and offers wonderful family-friendly outings. Put into their own words, “the Summer Music Series is regarded as a top musical entertainment destination in one of the best outdoor venues in Central PA.” And the Kalas Foundation agrees! Each year, the music series books recognized musicians of a variety of genres to provide entertainment for all tastes and styles. Their weekly free shows are also loved by adults and children alike for being a fun-filled experience. There are food trucks, wide open park space for children and dogs to play, well-constructed playgrounds, and picnic tables for attendees to enjoy the evening.
Over the last several years, The Long’s Park Foundation expanded their music series to include select Saturdays to feature local musicians. This has a rich impact on our community’s arts & music scene providing local musicians a stage and place to introduce local talent to a wider community of potential fans. This year, the Kalas Foundation proudly supported the Summer Music Series through sponsoring the Sunday, June 23 concert featuring musical guest Liz Vice. Vice’s set did not disappoint. From start to finish, she delighted the crowd with her powerful voice and jovial personality, teaching lyrics and inviting attendees into several moments to sing along and engage the performance.
