Calabretta Kids support CASA in the Superhero 5k

June 21, 2014 marks the third annual Superhero Race to benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County.  This is an important event to Kym Calabretta, Kalas Vice-President of Marketing and Director of the Kalas Sylvin Foundation, who participates with her husband and four children.

“The CASA Superhero Race is a great event for families and community members to show their support for the wonderful work the organization does to help the children who need their services.  It is a fun morning with lots of laughter, so I hope people can find time in their busy schedules to grab their superhero capes and plan to join us”, Calabretta comments.

CASA is a non-profit organization that provides court appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children to provide them with safe, nurturing, and permanent homes.

The Kalas Sylvin Foundation is the marque sponsor of this event; which encourages all participants to dress as their favorite superhero as they race to fight child abuse.  The 5K run/ walk begins’ at 8:30 AM and the children’s Fun Run begins at 9:30 AM. There will be fun, games and activities for the children to enjoy both before and after the race.
