MDA 2017 Glen Martin
In May 2017, the Muscular Dystrophy Association held its “Ride for Life” at the Reading Fairgrounds and celebrated the 30th anniversary of this annual event. This year was made even more special because Glen Martin, Bulk K2 Operator who has worked at Kalas since 1987, was asked to be a keynote speaker to commemorate the occasion of the three decade long-lasting event.
Glen has been a loyal and devoted supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Ride for Life event. Each year he raises funds and supports a wide range of special projects to assist the children and families in need of care. This year the event’s festivities raised more than $1.3 million, and Glen’s team personally contributed more than $300,000! The Kalas Foundation is proud to lend support to the Muscular Dystrophy Association on behalf of Glen, and to celebrate his dedication to the organization. We thank him for sharing his time, talent and kindness to make our community a better place.
